How You Can Help Friends for Life

There are many ways to be a part of the good work Friends for Life is doing in our community. Volunteers are always needed and you can find out all about opportunities for volunteering by taking the Volunteer Opportunities link.

Many people just don't have the time to commit to volunteering on a regular basis and they help by supporting our work in a variety of ways. Here's a few:

Our "Wish List"

Below you will find a listing of things that we need for our various programs. If you have gently used items on this list, we would be very grateful to receive them, or if you'd like to donate new items, we'd be equally grateful!

For the FFL Office:
Postage Stamps

For the Cat Foster Program:
Cat beds - new or gently used
Cat Litter Boxes - new or gently used
Any type of cat litter
Cat Toys
Cat Collars - the ones that breakaway
Cat Carriers
Scratching Posts

Make a Monetary Donation

We are funded primarily by private donations. Any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated and you can be sure that we will put it to good work saving the lives of animals in Humboldt County. As we are 100 percent volunteer run, every penny you donate goes to the programs that help dogs and cats in our community. Click on the link below to donate.

Donate Used Ink Jet & Laser Printer Cartridges and Cell Phones

Don't throw away your empty ink jet or laser jet cartridges or old digital cell phones - we will come and pick them up if you call us at 442-5999! Friends for Life can earn money for our programs by working with Cash for Critters. They will give us money for every cartridge we send to them through their cartridge recycling program. If you work at a large office, consider collecting used cartridges for FFL. It's an easy way to help us raise money for our Spay/Neuter and Fostering programs.

Not all cartridges are acceptable for this program. Please take the link below to make sure the cartridges you have are recycleable through Cash for Critters:
